jAudio is an open-source, Java-based audio feature extraction application specifically designed for Music Information Retrieval (MIR) research. Originally developed by Daniel McEnnis, Cory McKay, and Ichiro Fujinaga at McGill University, it serves as a cornerstone of the broader jMIR software suite.
